Durbin Creek Elementary

Located just 4.7 miles from Grand Cypress, Durbin Creek Elementary serves 832 students in Pre-K through 5th grade, with a student-teacher ratio of 1:15. Students historically test at or above the proficient level in math and reading, at an average of 82%, vs State of Florida average of 51%.

Fruitcove Middle

Only 6.3 miles from Grand Cypress, Fruit Cove Middle School serves 1216 students in grades 6-8 with a student-teacher ratio of 1:20. Students at Fruit Cove Middle School test well above the Florida average in reading and math.

Beachside High

Beachside High School is a brand new, state of the art, high school opening for the 2023 school year. Beachside High is pioneering innovative curriculums that target specific interests for a student’s future career. The four different “Career Academies” are a great way for students to explore their interests and learn valuable skills required to succeed in their field. The four academies are:

  • Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Decision making, problem solving, and logistics are taught in this unique program for entrepreneurial students interested in commerce after graduation from high school.

  • Academy of Information Technology (IT)

Students learn IT and programming by learning Java script to start and learn more code as they progress. Students will have the opportunity to take AP classes in computer sciences to earn college credit, as well as earn certifications in multiple coding languages.

  • Academy of Veterinary

This program allows students to run a doggie day care and students will graduate with a certified Veterinary Assistant designation to allow them to immediately earn a wage in the veterinary field upon graduation.

  • Biomedical Sciences

Teaches laboratory and technical skills for those students interested in the medical field.
